Each year, Oxford sends one or two student representatives to the World Collegiate Go Championships, hosted by the Ing Foundation. The event takes place in early July and is held at a different university around the world each year. The 2020 Collegiate Go Championship will be held in Shenzhen, China.

The event is open to current, future, or recently graduated students who attended school in the preceding school year. All costs related to room, board, tours, and travel during the event will be covered by the Ing Foundation. The student is responsible for getting to and from the tournament site (both international and domestic travel costs), and for any personal expenses such as souvenirs, and entertainment during the course of the trip.
